Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy is Keyhole surgery of the joints and is a minor surgical procedure where in the surgeon inserts an Arthroscope into the knee through one or two small incisions. This procedure uses the fiber optic technology to transmit the images of the knee joint on to a monitor. This allows the physician to see the entire knee joint and permits the repair of some injuries. Arthroscopy has become one of the most frequently used procedures for diagnosis and treatment of knee injuries. This procedure can be done as an outpatient with prior appointment at Lazarus Hospital by orthopedic surgeons specially trained in arthroscopy |

HYSTEROSCOPY
Hysteroscopy is a surgical procedure in which a gynecologist uses a fiberoptic instrument called a Hysteroscope to diagnose and treat many uterine disorders, including abnormal bleeding. Using fiber optic technology, the Hysteroscope transmits an image of the uterine canal and cavity to a television monitor, allowing the gynecologist to properly guide the instrument into the endometrial cavity. (Inner lining of uterus, which is in the form of a mucous memberane). There are two types of Hysteroscopy - Diagnostic and Operative. Both the procedures can be done at Lazarus Hospital under trained Gynaecologists in absolute sterile environment. In most cases the procedure can be done as an outpatient and may require just day care at the hospital.
